Bring Home the Bacon

Boxing glove collages
Ongoing series

Bring Home the Bacon debuted as a part of the Pretty Limber exhibition at Klowden Mann in 2013. These collages embody the essence of a self-empowered sensual and stylish being, “gloved up” to enhance a mood of the female warrior who need not fight.

Hubby on the series:

They are my feminine avatars. I created these suits to embody a superhero essence with undeniable strength. Positioned with gloves, not for combat, but as a visual symbols of physical and psychological boundaries. These figures could fight, but they choose not to, which makes them all the more powerful. Just add your face and see yourself as strong and suited up in style.
