From the DENK announcement:

DENK is pleased to present, UltraChrome Plus, a group exhibition featuring digitally printed works by 16 contemporary artists who often or exclusively use digitally processes in their artistic practice.

The show is a follow up to an earlier exhibition in 2004 titled UltraChrome that featured work exclusively produced on the Epson 9600 archival inkjet printer. UltraChrome refers to the ink set developed by Epson to produce archival inks with a wide chromatic color space.)

The current exhibition, UltraChrome Plus, still includes UltraChrome prints yet expands beyond to include a ranging representation of digital printing processes now used by so many artists. The show includes Lambda and light jet prints, 3D printing, dye sublimation prints as well as UV inkjet prints.

Featuring work by David Dimichele, Greg Gioiosa, Bettina Hubby, Julia Koerner, Irene Mamiye, Luigia Martelloni, Cecilia Miniucchi, Karin Apollonia Müller, Deborah Oropallo, Laura Parker, Paul Rickert, Judi Russell, Paul Silkowski, Antoni Stutz, Tim Nolan and Jody Zellen

A playful imagining of an intervention for our troubled times, Hubby's White House Gathering and companion piece, White House Gardening are part of a new body of work that ideates humor-filled visualization to instigate change.

Hubby on the White House lawn series:

This duo plays with the power of our imagination, the flexing of our visualization muscles to focus on a future or scenario we’d like to see happen to replace what is happening now that we don’t like. Mother Teresa states that she would never go to an anti-war rally, but she would attend a pro-peace rally. It is with this mindset that I populate White House Gathering with heroes, spiritual leaders, deities and fictional characters that inspire and do good in the world and for our psyches. I then do a bit of White House gardening; it springs to life with all matter of healing plants, including those that have powerful effects on psychological ailments,  such as magic mushrooms, peyote, ayahuasca vines, sage, kava plants, etc. It also flourishes with trees and flowers that aid memory, mood and overall health. I threw in a few surprises as well. The keys to these works hold the layers of intention that I am hopeful for with a little humor to help the medicine go down.
