Hubby III: Hee Hee was a collaborative happening co-organized by Bettina Hubby and Joel Mesler. Hubby created garments as part of a sculptural runway show, which featured 28 artists and friends. After the runway portion, portraits were made by Joshua White of each participant. Mesler invited artist Charles Irvin to perform a nude breakdancing act and Mr. Banjo (Tony Fernandez) played music. Participants included Carla Denker, Christine Nichols, Clint Hope, Dan Hug, Dean Sameshima, Janet Klein, Jody Hughes, Laura Schnitker, Pat Pickett, Sarah Lehrer Graiwer, Tessa Laird, and others.
